February 2011 - India

Greetings!

Rev. George Bell recently taught two courses in Chityal, India.  The students listened attentively and indicated that they will apply what they have learned to their various ministries.

Challenges

Rev. Bell explains, "One of the challenges I faced of course was language. I felt that I  could get by with a translator for the Systematic course  but lack of facility with the language proved a difficulty in the preaching practicum.  It would have been better for the students if a native speaker was able to understand the sermons being preached and so lend some helpful insights in doing so. As it was, I could only comment on body language etc. But Joel and the students themselves were able to contribute in this area."

Exam

Students were challenged and stretched by the course material and the exam.

Ministry to Women

Women Chityal

George Bell writes, "My wife Evelyn and Gaynor along with Indian helpers worked hard and well together. They sought to provide a ministry of faithful teaching in a context of dignity and worth to these women. I am sure that all would welcome this opportunity again."

Prayer Points

There is always a need for good translators

Life-changing application of what they learned to their ministry

Praise God that there's an invitation for more teaching next year:

"We received positive feedback from both the pastors and their spouses and from Joel and his family with an invitation for us to return next year from all. For this we are thankful to God and would consider this a ministry we would dearly love to continue."  ~Rev. Bell

We value your partnership in this cutting-edge ministry.
