November 2010 - Dominican Republic and Haiti

Greetings!

Pastor Josue Raimundo, Carey's Hispanic Co-ordinator, met with leaders from Dominican Republic and Haiti.  He sends this report:

"On November 16-17 we had a conference with leaders from the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Pastor Dan Jarms (Spokane, WA), Pastor Florent Varak (Lyon, France) and I were the main preachers in it.

I organized the conference with the purpose of evaluating some men to start the theological training Program with them.

There were two men (one with a group of Dominicans and Haitians living in the DR) and the other with a group of pastors from two other provinces, who have committed to the program. I have their CV's and all the information we need. The Lord provided the computers for them to be able to come to our "virtual class-room" every week."

Josue Raimundo and Dan Jarms Teach

"In this picture, Dan Jarms and I are teaching on the Sufficiency of Scriptures. It was very well received and we are planning on having another conference next year. So, conferencing and training are taking place in the DR.

Praise God for His blessing!  Our first conference was in 2008 with 9 guys. We did not have a conference in 2009. In this conference, we had more than a hundred people. By the way, the campus is the Conference Center where I was born and my Dad administered during a period of time. It was a great experience for me."

Tomas brought 27 Men to the Conference

"The man on the front (Left) is Tomas Toribio. He brought 27 men to the conference (these are some of them). He has been a great help in our work in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Even though he completed his Bible certificate, after seeing our program, he decided to enroll. His idea is to teach these Dominicans leaders and some Haitian men, what he learns from me."

New Technology means Multiplied Efforts

 Josue continues,

"We meet every Tuesday morning through Skype. Multiplication is already taking place."

Prayer Points

  • Josue is in Santo Domingo to establish the two groups. Pray that God would bless his efforts.
  • Multiplication means "it is getting big and I cannot do it alone (nor I want to)." ~Josue So pray for Josue and the other leaders.
  • Praise God that we can use new technology to further His kingdom!

We value your partnership in this cutting-edge ministry.
